First to Move, First to Matter

Welcome to Team Mercury of Cohort 5 from the Accelerate Space Program at Space Center Houston! Inspired by Project Mercury, a series of projects that led to the first human spaceflight mission in the U.S., we aim to explore different paths into the aerospace field, discover opportunities, and share our discoveries with the public to push the boundaries of what's possible.

We are a group of learners and innovators from diverse backgrounds across the US, striving to build community while helping others realize their dreams in Aerospace. Here on our site, we share stories and advice from various Aerospace Industry Professionals to offer insight into how others can achieve their desired career from different perspectives and skill sets. Beyond the stories, we also share the activities we have done as a team to give a behind-the-scenes look at what the industry can entail and how anyone can get involved.
